Adapter - part number AL-106(Long Body 25mm)
Male Thread : 14mm-1.5 Female Thread(Fitting Valve) : 14mm-1.5(EZ-106)
Some oil pans are designed with a recessed drain hole which may prevent the valve from being installed properly. If the valve can not be tightened all the way without hitting the oil pan wall, do not install the Drain Valve to your vehicle. Adapters are available for some models.
AL-106 Required For:
| Acura | '96 & on all models with V6 engines. 96'-98' TL with 5 cyl. engines. |
*Not recommended for low clearance vehicle.

No hassle installation. It easily screwed into my oil pan. I tightened it down and then screwed in the oil valve to it. The adapter was needed because of how Audi built the oil pan on my 2006 A3 2 Liter turbo.

Did I really need it?

The site recommended (better yet, advised me to get it) for the recessed oil pan, but I'm not convinced, after installing it, that I actually needed it. Oh well, I bought, installed, end of story.
